AUDRA HARRISON
Performance Coach
Audra is a Hickory native with roots that go deep into volleyball and basketball in the area. She played travel volleyball and basketball as well as being 4 year varsity player at Fred T. Foard High School. During her time at Foard, she was named as the MVP of the 3A State Championship Lady Tiger volleyball 2002 and 2003 teams and 3A State Player of the Year in 2003.
After high school, Audra played at Gardner-Webb University earning a 4-year degree in K12 Physical Education while becoming the first player to earn 1,000 kills/ 1000 digs since Gardner-Webb changed to a Division 1 university.
Audra then became a volleyball Graduate Assistant at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas earning a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology.
Upon graduation, she was named as an Assistant Coach for The College of William & Mary’s volleyball program in Williamsburg, Virginia. It was there that her love for athlete and human performance really began.
Given her newly acquired respect and interest, after five seasons coaching at a Division 1 volleyball program, Audra changed directions and was named as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Marmon Muscle: Home of CrossFit Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. Her primary responsibilities were team, individual and small group strength training, conditioning, and instruction.
After 3 years, Audra became the Manager of Pivot Physical Therapy’s Performance Center in Newport News, Virginia where her primary responsibilities where to oversee the performance and execution of other trainers, as well as implement team and individual training amongst a variety of clientele ranging from healthy aging populations to elite athletes moving up the ranks in their respective sports.
In late June of 2019, Audra moved back to Hickory and is extremely excited about impacting the health and fitness needs of the local community through Athletes Lab.
